Holiday Art & Gift Shop- November 9-December 22, 2023


Artists,

Be a part of our 6th Holiday Art & Gift Shop.  We want to provide Allentown with a wonderful selection of art and artisan made items.  Space is limited so apply early to make sure we have room for you.

Who: Open to all artists in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding counties. (artwork must be delivered in-person)

2D Artwork:  We are accepting about thirty paintings for the walls and easels.  There is no theme this year but we will be looking for quality art that will fit together cohesively.  Artwork can be scenery, abstract, floral, small works, or winter themed artwork.  Please do not submit autumn themed art. Painters may submit up to 4 paintings, though not all may be accepted. 

3D Artwork:  We are also looking for a variety of artisans who create with leather, wood, glass, jewelry, ceramics, lettering, textiles, and other unique handmade items.  We have room on shelves and tables or you can provide your own display.  Each artisan will be allocated a specific spot and help to set up their display.  

Location:  gallery840, Allentown 

Application Timeframe:  Applications can be submitted from October 1 through October 15, 2023.  Submission does not guarantee acceptance.  By submitting your application and paying the $10 entry fee you agree to the terms of this posting.  Artists will be notified no later than Oct 20th whether or not their work has been accepted.  Details about the amount of space or number of works will be provided at that time.  If not accepted at this time you may be put on a waiting list. Entry fee must be received by gallery840 to confirm your spot and for you to be included in promotional materials.  

Commission:  Artist 60%/gallery40%.  Gallery commission will be reduced to 25% if you commit to gallery sit for a 4 hours shift.  Training will be provided.  

Discount:  All accepted artists will receive a 10% discount on any purchases at the gallery during the holiday shop.  

Delivery:  In-person on Sat, Nov 4 9am-12pm or Tues, Nov 7th 9am-12pm. 

Entry Fee:  $10 per artist.  Payable online. By paying the fee you accept the terms listed in this Artist Call!. Entry fee must be received to be considered for the Holiday Shop and to demonstrate your commitment  to participate if accepted.  


SUBMISSION DETAILS FOR 2D ARTISTS:

1.  Pay Entry Fee of $10 HERE  (one fee per artist)

2.  Complete the GOOGLE FORM  (preferred) or email artist@gallery840.net with the following information for each entry (up to 4) in the body of an email or in a spreadsheet 

3.  Send Photos to artist@gallery840.net - Images should be 1-3MB, clear, straight, and cropped to the edge of the painting.   Photos must be labeled as follows:  Artist Name_Artwork Title_Size.  



SUBMISSION DETAILS FOR 3D ARTISTS:

1. Pay Entry Fee of $10 HERE  (one fee per artist)

2. Email kristind@gallery840.net with the following information in the body of an email. If you wish to display a variety of items please group them into categories for this application.  If accepted, you will be asked to provide a list of all your items with pricing.  All items must be individually tagged or with clear signage. 

3.  Send 3-4 Photos to kristind@gallery840.net - Images should be 1-3MB.  Items should be well lit and against a neutral, white or uncluttered background.  Photos must be labeled as follows:  Artist Name_Item
